Team Junkfish’s third year project as part of Abertay University’s Personal Project module. An aerial shooter described as “Crimson Skies meets Shadow of the Colossus” where players had to strategically take apart a far larger enemy in a dogfight.
For this project I wanted to showcase a clear distinction in size between the player’s craft and the enemy aircraft, emphasising the difference in engine and gunfire sounds. For the music I looked to the game’s east Asian, junk boat visuals and went for an orchestral style combined with Taiko rhythms and patterns that were recommended by a performer.
